We've just acquired our first Weimaraner and were looking for a book that dealt very specifically with this breed. Really, there wasn't much here that we didn't already know.
Admittedly the subtitle makes it clear that this is 'A New Owner's Guide to Weimaraners' but really it's a book for new owners who don't know a great deal about dogs at all/5(5). This book is a great all-around new dog owner book. For those who have had a dog before, it might be a bit basic. I thought the information specific to Weimaraners was lacking.
It was an easy read, though. A great bathroom book.:) I really enjoyed learning about the history of the breed and more details from The Essential Weimaraner/5(32). This book provides the much-needed factual information about Weimaraners and their ancestry, character and standard, as well as puppy selection, feeding, training and preventative health care.
